About

What Can I Buy?

You'll find a wide array of items, mostly in the form of tangible goods and certificates. All tangible goods are new, except vintage, antique, or repurposed items.

Most items are donated by businesses such as museums, restaurants, theaters, summer camps, play places, hair or nail salons, clothing stores, jewelers, spas, and more.

Other contributions, such as music instruction, art classes, vacation condos, private tours, and massages come from individuals, some within the Lakeshore community.

A selection of items are fun group experiences called "Lakeshore Gatherings," which are events sponsored by one or more Lakeshore teachers, staff, or families for one or more winning bidders.

We also feature a "Gravy Train," which is a series of delicious home-cooked meals prepared and delivered by Lakeshore families.

Bidding

This year, our auction kickoff returns in person at Stonestown Sports Basement Community Room (3251 20th Ave) on Saturday, March 30 2–4pm!

Our online auction follows from April 1 at 10am to April 19 at 10pm at 32auctions.com/lakeshore24

To view online items, click or tap the item list icon or select a category. Click on an item to learn more and see payment and delivery options.

To bid or add items to your "watch list," you need to be logged in. You can log in with an existing 32auctions.com account or create one.

You can enter your bid amount in one of two ways: an exact amount, or the highest amount you are comfortable paying, and the system will bid automatically for you only when needed.

If you are the highest bidder when the auction closes, you win! If you win an item, you’ll receive an email invoice, so please bid with an email account that you check regularly.

Payment

Credit/debit card payment is accepted online through PayPal. No PayPal account is required. If you cannot pay online, you can pay in person at pickup by cash, check, or credit card. Payment is due within 2 weeks of close of auction. Payment is required to hand over items.

ALL BIDS ARE BINDING. No refunds — finding a replacement buyer takes coordination. If you buy something you can't use, please post it in ParentSquare or on social media buy/sell groups to find a replacement buyer.

Getting Your Stuff

There are 4 ways to get the items you won:

1. PICKUP DAY AT SCHOOL: A pickup day at school will be scheduled within two weeks after the auction closes. Day and time is TBA based on volunteer power.

2. APPOINTMENT: Pickup at school or a volunteer’s home by scheduling an appointment.

3. MAIL/DELIVERY: Our volunteers can mail GIFT CERTIFICATES ONLY for an extra convenience fee listed in each online auction item. Depending on volunteer availability and location, we may opt to drop off gift certificates instead. Certificates will be mailed via USPS First Class; additional services such as insurance can be added on after payment for an additional fee. Sorry, due to shipping costs, WE ARE UNABLE TO MAIL TANGIBLE ITEMS unless winner wishes to cover cost of shipping.

4. THROUGH A FRIEND/FAMILY MEMBER: If you are located outside of driving distance from SF and have friends or family who attend Lakeshore Elementary School, and you have won tangible items or don’t wish to pay extra to mail certificates, then please arrange with your friend/relative to collect and deliver your items to you.

Items not picked up in a timely manner will be offered to previous bidders for the winning price. If none are interested, the item will be offered in a subsequent sale.

The Fine Print

Many items have specific conditions or requirements. The winner is to adhere to any restrictions as stated on the bid sheet and donor form.

Where mutual agreement is required, please contact donor.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to contact the service provider or to use a gift certificate/card by the stated expiration date. No value is guaranteed past the expiration date.
The amount of your charitable deduction is limited to the amount of the sale price in excess of the fair market value of the item purchased.
Hotel/resort/condo reservations are subject to availability and may be subject to blackout periods.
Due to the nature of the children's art that may be offered at the event, the fair market value stated represents only the expenses reimbursed for purchasing the art supplies to create the items. Numerous volunteer hours were spent in the creation of these items. Therefore, these treasures are considered to be priceless.
